Our heritage

Perfection of excellence since 1805

We have constantly managed our own vineyards to ensure international award winning cognacs for over two centuries.

Our vineyards have been present since 1805 in Saint-Meme -Les-Carrières, and Bonneuil, in the very heart of the Grande Champagne. We have expanded our vineyards over two centuries as Croizet grew in Global stature and excellence to include Petite Champagne and Fins Bois, spread over a distance of 110 km.

Our eaux-de-vie reflects the very essence of Cognac taking in such a vast terroir from the borders of the coast to the heart of Cognac in Grande Champagne. A position almost unrivalled in Cognac.

Grande Champagne

1st Cru of Cognac

Grande Champagne produces the best quality Cognac in the region, Croizet is located in its historic heart and specializes in superior quality Grande Champagne Cognacs.

Nestled in the hills of Grande Champagne, the Domaine benefits from one of the best microclimates in the region.

The rolling hillsides and the limestone soil provide an optimal growth environment: maximum sunshine, regular and natural irrigation.

Croizet's vineyards are exclusively planted with ugni blanc grapes, a hard variety selected for the elegant eaux-de-vie it produces.

Traditional distillation

Respecting the Charente tradition

The grapes are harvested with the greatest care in order to preserve all their quality and character.

As is the tradition of Charente, the wines will undergo a double distillation. The resulting cognacs are endowed with delicate aromas and a soft texture.

The Croizet style

And then it's time to rest...

The eaux-de-vie slowly age in French oak barrels in our cellars in Saint-Meme-Les-Carrières. During this time, the cognac develops its distinctive style and gains in aromatic intensity and color.

Finally, the Cellar Master will perfect the balance and blend by combining different eaux-de-vie of different ages, and cellars to obtain the consistent and distinct style of the Croizet House ; paying homage to our famous heritage.

Respecting our local environment

The Croizet Promise

Concerned about our Planet, we are committed to environmental certification, with the aim of obtaining the Highest Environmental Value label by 2025 in line with sustainable farming, as well as Cognac Certification ; a local standard which complements this very high level of certification.

This double certification is an additional step in our approach to sustainable agriculture, which began 25 years ago, and even over a hundred years when combating the devastating phylloxera disease.
